  • Our lab has access to services provided by the Lung Tissue Registry where we can obtain FFPE tissue samples for histology work and frozen samples for RNA, DNA and protein analysis. Read More

  • Our Goal

To improve the health of patients living with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), who are challenged every day with the simple task of breathing. Read More

  • Our Research

We are focused on understanding the contribution of dysregulated epithelial repair to airway remodeling in asthma, developing microCT imaging methodology to understand small airways disease, and other imaging methodologies to understand multi-cellular tissues. Read More

Research Objectives:

The objectives of our research are to provide new approaches to predict risk, diagnose, and discover new treatments to improve the quality of life of asthma and COPD patients. Our central research objectives are:

  • Map the cellular, transcriptomic and extracellular matrix (ECM) microenvironment of early diseases lesions using single cell resolution technologies.
  • Develop clinical CT imaging tools for the early detection and monitoring of disease.
  • Identify therapeutic targets to improve asthma and COPD outcomes.
